FiletFlyer™
Blow away the competition with better quality fish
Overview
The FiletFlyer™ is a device that automates the transport of fish between different stages of processing in a plant. It uses air pressure and tubes to slide the fish from one location to another, reducing the need for manual handling and saving space. More gentle handling and faster processing means better taste and longer shelf life.
Benefits
Improved Quality
The FiletFlyer™ minimizes fish damage and contamination risk to the fish meat during transport. By sliding the fish individually and gently, it prevents bruising, scaling, or breaking that can occur from stacking or dropping. By enclosing the fish in the tube, it shields them from exposure to dust, dirt, bacteria, or other pollutants that may be present in the plant environment.
Increased Throughput
The FiletFlyer™ speeds up the transport of fish between processing steps, increasing the overall efficiency and productivity of the plant. It eliminates the delays and bottlenecks that can result from manual handling or limited conveyor space. It also allows for more flexibility and scalability in the plant layout, as the MigratorTube™ can be adjusted to fit different distances and heights.
Reduced Cost
The FiletFlyer™ lowers the operational and maintenance costs of the plant by reducing the labor and energy requirements for fish transport. It reduces the number of workers needed to move the fish, as well as the risk of injury or fatigue. It also consumes less space and requires less maintenance than traditional conveyor systems. The FiletFlyer™ is made of durable and corrosion-resistant stainless steel, and the MigratorTube™ can be cleaned and disinfected quickly by dropping special sponges through the FiletFlyer™ and MigratorTube™.
Cleaning and Hygienics Made Quick and Simple
At the end of a shift, the last task is clean-up. The FiletFlyer™ and MigratorTube™ can be thoroughly cleaned in minutes with just a few steps and minimal labor. In 15 minutes, the entire system can be disinfected, cleaned, rinsed, and dried, so pathogens never have a chance to get started.
How It Works
The FiletFlyer™ integrates with the existing conveyor belt system in the plant. When a fish reaches the end of the conveyor, it slides through a door into the FiletFlyer™. Sensors detect the fish and close the door behind it, while opening another door in front of it. A blast of air pushes the fish forward into a tube, called the MigratorTube™, that leads to the next processing station. The MigratorTube™ can be routed along the ceiling or walls, avoiding interference with other equipment. The fish exits the tube at the desired destination, where another conveyor or worker receives it.
